Loft Kid Luis
If you've been to New York's annual Dance Parade, chances are you know House Coalition. At 500 strong, the group is one of the parade's largest — and most energetic. We're thrilled to host the crew's annual fundraiser at our house. Ali Coleman, Douglas Sherman and Loft Kid Luis will be at the controls. Ali is a New Jersey native with nearly four decades of DJing under his belt; Doug is a disciple of David Mancuso and a core member of The Loft family; and Loft Kid Luis is Luis Vargas, the founder of House Coalition and another longtime Loft devotee (he got his moniker at age five, when his mother brought him to The Loft and introduced him to David Mancuso). They'll kick things off at 8pm during dinner, and then we'll clear the tables away for a night of great music and even better vibes.
Indoors at Nowadays is a gathering place with an amazing analog soundsystem and wood dance floor. The room was dreamt up and brought into being by the Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday guys.
We're on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood, and we've got a full bar and kitchen. We throw parties on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and we do immersive listening sessions called Planetarium on Sundays.
We have a cover charge after 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and after 6pm on Sundays. Aside from that, it's free to come hang. If you want to join us on a weekend night, but you're a little tight on dough, you can buy early bird tickets here on RA, or RSVP for reduced or free entry on Fridays and Saturdays at http://nowadays.nyc/rsvp.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
