The last time JT Almon and Michael Magnan threw a party at Nowadays, we didn't turn on the lights until – well, by the time they were done, we didn't need to turn on the lights. We're excited to welcome the Fruits and Vegetable fellas back to the 'days for another soiree, this time with assistance from their friend, Kenya. Here's what they've got to say about it:
For our March edition at Nowadays, FNV is excited to welcome Kenya, one of our favorite underground DJs in NYC, to the mix. We met him through a friend at the very first Fruits and Vegetables function where, by chance, he happened to be on hand with a USB stick to help us finish up the late, late morning set. He wowed us so much that he’s become a staple at every FNV since. Kenya, who hails from Tokyo, plays a masterful hypnotic and driving techno set that is just begging to be heard on a proper sound system.
bar until 4am
dance until it's done

Indoors at Nowadays is a gathering place with an amazing analog soundsystem and wood dance floor. The room was dreamt up and brought into being by the Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday guys.
We're on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood, and we've got a full bar and kitchen. We throw parties on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and we do immersive listening sessions called Planetarium on Sundays.
We have a cover charge after 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and after 6pm on Sundays. Aside from that, it's free to come hang. If you want to join us on a weekend night, but you're a little tight on dough, you can buy early bird tickets here on RA, or RSVP for reduced or free entry on Fridays and Saturdays at http://nowadays.nyc/rsvp.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
