Saturday March 24th @ The Electric Pickle in Miami, for a 3rd year in a row, Soul Clap’s House Of EFUNK keeps us funking into the future with another injection of music, art and free spirited positivity. Born from Soul Clap’s two brains this traveling party series celebrates the present by paying homage to the artists that laid the foundation from our past, while introducing new sounds to keep us moving forward towards tomorrow.
Joining Soul Clap this year is none other than New York House music heavyweight and Grammy Nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry. From the United Kingdom we’re thrilled to include for the first time at one of our events Magnetic Man co-founder/DJ heavyweight Skream as well as BBC Radio 1 legend Benji B. Brooklyn’s wonder-kind No Regular Play celebrate the launch of their new Traffic Control imprint and bring their signature electronic jazz live performance. Then, from the underground of Detroit, Kelli Hand aka K-HAND will be in the mix! Also hailing from The D we welcome a real record digging fanatic, Pontchartrain who will be celebrating his new release on Soul Clap Records, The Citlalmina EP. Then, representing Milan, Italy we are thrilled to welcome tastemaker extrodinare Lele Sacchi, a staple in the Italian scene since the 90’s, influencing the people of Milan with his DJ sets, radio shows and as one hell of a party promoter. The House Of EFUNK is never complete without some shine for the locals, so with a tip of our hat we welcome the man, the myth, the legend, Will Renuart as well as the the wild boys of Wynwood Gran Moxy & Los Negros.
This event runs from 4pm-close (yeah that means pretty darn late) with the party beginning outside on the patio with food provided by Melinda’s, the brand new mezcalaria and nacho bar on the ground floor. Then, for those with a finer taste for the arts, Miami rising talent Natasha Tomchin presents her Digital Dreamscapes to thrill the senses while the party churns.
