Hunee’s somewhat eclectic tracks seem to consist of sounds that shouldn’t fit together, yet they merge flawlessly for a harmonous whole. There is a playful curiosity to the way the korean master mixes disco and funk with soothing kicks, and his dancefloor antics are delivered with an intoxicating passion and delight. It’s a sort of musical equivalent to globalization - drums from an African village, synths from a lazy afternoon in a Tokyo park, and bass from a brick warehouse in Detroit.
Hunee released his debut album ’Hunch Music’ on Rush Hour in 2014, and since then his derivative house has found its way to labels such as W.T. and Future Times. The best of all worlds finds its way into his music, and perhaps that is why the whole world is his stage. Now it’s Copenhagen’s turn!
Supporting Hunee this night are two friends of the house, Paxton Fettel and Ryan Dank, the latter being the man behind the recurrent Culture Box club night ”Love Stomp”.
Multiplex main man Steen Kong spins the vinyls in Red Box with Daniel Savi of C.U.P. fame.
We serve unlimited free Tuborg Gold from the bars between 11pm and midnight for those arriving early.
