Rebirth Records is back in Miami for the Music Week with another party at Do Not Sit On The Furniture, on Sunday 25th March.
One of the most important independent electronic house labels, Rebirth Records, is joining forces with Debed, a brand new project concepted by Greeko and LENny, in partnership with Ocean Trax, to represent a new underground scene worldwide.
The label owner Shield will share the decks with the label artists Lele Sacchi, Chromatic Filters, plus LENNny and Claudio De Tullio, opening for Lee Curtiss and Audiojack.
The Leeds grown, Ibiza based duo have built a solid reputation over the last decade releasing music on house and techno labels like Crosstown Rebels, 2020Vision and Hot Creations, as well as Tsuba, Leftroom and Culprit, and running their own imprint Gruuv. They have remixed for labels such as Moon Harbour, B-Pitch Control and Diynamic, whilst Underworld, Groove Armada and Hot Since 82. They have re-edited Shield and Robytek single ‘Pump It’ for Rebirth a few years ago. Accolades include a nomination in DJ Mag’s Best of British awards, the Mexican Dance Awards and mixing the legendary Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. Over the last ten years they’ve toured in hundreds of cities in over sixty countries.
Lee Curtiss is an eccentric, an original, an innovator, a ten-year veteran of the electronic-music scene. He Grew up in Western Michigan and moved to Detroit, after an extended stay in Berlin. He co-founded Visionquest,with the close-knit family of Seth Troxler, Shaun Reeves, and Ryan Crosson, and produced vital releases and remixes on labels including Spectral Sound, Get Physical, Dumb-Unit, Wolf+Lamb, Esperanza, and Mothership, and play DJ gigs the world over.
Shield is probabily known as owner and mastermind of Rebirth Records, but his journey began away back in 1998 when he remixing for the legendary american label Easy Street. As one half of NUfrequency, Shield was responsible for producing the timeless songs ‘Go That Deep’ (featuring the legendary Shara Nelson) and ‘Fallen Hero’ (featuring Ben Onono). Shield also re-edited a few house classics that made jumpin djs like Luciano, Carl Craig, Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier, Louie Vega, Seth Troxler, Josh Wink, Kerri Chandler to name a few.
His collaboration with Robytek gave life the ‘Way Of Life’ EP on Luciano’s label Cadenza and the singles ‘Pump It’ (featuring Foremost Poets) and ‘NOW’ (featuring Liquid Liquid) on Rebirth. Their rework of ‘The Infamous’ by Butch & C.Vogt is one of the biggest tracks on the label and one of the most played in Ibiza in 2014. Shield is working on his first solo album to be released in 2019.
One of the icons of Italy's electronic, house music scene, behind the decks since 1995 and still a driving force behind Milan's clubbing scene, Lele Sacchi released music on some cool labels such as Moodmusic, Soul Clap, Systematic, 20-20 Vision, Get Physical, Internasjonal (Prins Thomas’ label). He is still running Radio2 Inthemix on the national state FM RAI and launched his own night ‘Iconic’ in 2017. His new single ‘Dreaming Won’t Do’ is out at the end of March on Rebirth remixed by Tiger & Woods and Benoit & Sergio.
Chromatic Filters, is a dj/musician Italian duo (Luca Sanna and Pierpaolo Sechi) based in London. Their original sound taking inspiration by the early '80s NY disco scene, influenced by Piero Piccioni soundtracks, Disco, Cosmic Boogie, Afrobeat and Detroit techno, fusing many differing elements of dance music with live instruments and everything woving together with an incredible sense of dynamics. They have already released 4 EPs on Rebirth Records, including remixes from Mark E, Slow Hands, Jamie 3:26, Brisa, Idjut Boys and Fouk.
