ReSolute looks back to some classic minimal names for this party, featuring two masters from opposite sides of the pond: Germany's Thomas Melchior and Detroit's Daniel Bell.
With a great weather forecast for this weekend, we can't wait for ReSolute On The Roof with three of our favorite tastemakers on the same day!!
A pioneer of the minimal sound in the United States, Daniel Bell has been a ReSolute favorite for years thanks to his sophisticated and powerful sound. Whether in New York, Detroit or any other city in the world, Daniel Bell always manages to match the moment with the necessary sounds. We’re happy to welcome him back for this summer session on The Roof!
Thomas Melchior is a legendary artists with a musical career that spans out a wide variety of genres built on more than two decades of experience. Born in Germany, Melchior was originally a jazz funk instrumentalist but later became interested in computer generated music, catching the eye of the notorious Afrika Bambaata in the early 90s and eventually releasing records in Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label under the name Vulva/YONI alongside Aphex Twin, Autechre and many others. Over the last decades, he's been building a huge discography under various pseudonyms, such as Deepah, Sunpeople, Soul Capsule and countless more. Considered one of the pioneers of the Minimal House genre, his career is, to say the least, enviable and it has never ceased to develop and evolve.
Kalabrese and Rumpelorchester will be joining us this Sunday for one of their great live performances, this time finally under the sun! Kalabrese is no stranger to ReSolute. He is often heard playing some untraceable records in his sets, putting him apart from his contemporaries as a seasoned and unexpected disc jockey. In the latest years, his releases on Perlon have made him an international superstar. And whenever he is joined by his band, his music takes a different funkier twist that never ceases to impress us! We're very excited for their comeback this Sunday at The Roof!
