Even Tuell & Andrew Lyster spent a memorable weekend together playing sold out shows at Hamburg's Golden Pudel and Berlin's Paloma. We wanted to recreate some of the magic of that weekend by inviting them both for an extended all night session in our basement.
As 1/2 of the team behind Workshop Records Even Tuell has facilitated the release of some of the craftiest leftfield house and techno records of the last two decades. He's contributed some pretty special discs to the label himself; most notably his collaboration with Midnightopera which has some sharks demanding £350 a pop for the privilege of owning *that* B2 (link below). He followed that one up with an four tracker on Latency - the go-to label for heads after records that sit on the crossing between dancefloor fun and all out experimentalism.
Lyster's long history with Soup Kitchen began with his role as a founding member and resident of _meandyou. - since then he's blossomed into a quietly revered DJ who's been called up for Dekmantel Selectors, Boiler Room and most recently the L.I.E.S Podcast. The latter (linked below) contains a bunch of unreleased cuts from his label YOUTH and provides a good look at where he's at as a DJ right now.
