Catz 'N Dogz
Till von Sein
For our first summer installment of the season, we're excited to bring in a crowd favorite, one of the more fun names in the music world of house and techno, Catz n Dogz. The Polish duo has become known over the years for their ability to bridge catchy dance floor bombs to their more elusive, and "off the grid" counterparts in electronic music. The house music duo already has a brag-worthy amount of accolades to their name, including recognition in DJ Mags Top 10 Albums of the Year for their work in 2015 on ‘Basic Colour Theory’, a revered spot on Resident Advisors Top 100 list, and a sleuth of releases on esteemed labels such as Aus Music, Dirtybird Records, and their own flagship label Pets Recordings - it’s safe to say that Catz n Dogz have received credit where and when it has been due. The pair’s creativity and knack for reworking just about any track with their signature pulsory-basslines house touch is plainly obvious in their remix of Marlena Shaw’s classic tune, ‘Woman of the Ghetto’, which was selected as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio last summer. The list goes on, their remix of Thomas Schumacher’s ‘Hush’ was number one on Beatport’s tech house chart for five consecutive months, and more recently their track ‘Rave History’ sat atop the electronica chart for five weeks. Like the name Catz n Dogz, their music is all-encompassing, and whether you’re a cat or a dog person, a house or techno aficionado, they have something that’s for you.
Joining Catz n Dogz is another comprehensive DJ, Till Von Sein. To the german native music is and always has been the answer; his weapon of choice is House music, but his tendencies behind the decks are a euphoria-inducing intersection between the very core of house, soul, and techno.
Noise Revolt’s LA resident Raskal, fresh from playing Lightning in a Bottle, opens up the room. We’re as excited as ever to close out the month of June with you guys and host three international powerhouses at our home in the arts district, we’ll see you on the dance floor!
