Life and Death revisit Thuishaven for the latest chapter in the label’s ADE tradition.
Seasoned selectors Axel Boman, Red Axes, Marvin & Guy, Job Jobse, Leon Vynehall, Gerd Janson and Nuno Dos Santos all make welcomed returns to the hedonistic circus, while label kingpin, DJ Tennis, introduces a new wave of non-standard talent into the ring. Future Hall of Famer, Henrik Schwarz, shares his live set with the label for the first time, while Roman Flügel’s synth-wizardry is set to be in full-effect and Me Me Me Records head, Man Power, makes his mark. Berlin-based techno chanteuse, Perel, continues her recent streak, alongside HVOB and Pachanga Boys, who both took part in the label’s outstanding Art Basel offering of 2016 at the charming Little River Studios.
This year’s ADE installment sees the Italian label solidify their varied sonic palette, while propelling its boundaries further into their bespoke musical aether.
Infos for the afterparty will be announced soon!
Thuishaven is not a club, or a warehouse. It’s a unique experience. Located on the Western outskirts of Amsterdam, the site is surrounded by heavy industry, massive oil tankers and scrap metal yards. Thuishaven has several stages, bars, surreal decoration pieces and curiosities. Incorporating materials purchased or found at neighboring scrap yards, the site radiates a raw and industrial atmosphere. During the winter set-up (October - April), all stages are housed indoor, in heated tents and a newly crafted hangar. The summer set-up (May - September) hosts a mesmerizing open air stage plus the option to use both tent and hangar for a raveyer vibe. With a track record of 120 festivals and counting, the site is ever evolving. Every new visit brings to light new details and new surprises—making it one of Amsterdam’s most extraordinary venues.
