If you've been following the adventures of Canadian D. Tiffany, it's not hard to guess who the special guest here is—but either way it'll be a night of blunts and breaks.
A Special Australian Guest
No problem to pay on the door tonight!
NYC DJs Ashlyn, Voices, Nina and Nicely, known collectively as Working Women, return to the ’days for another b2b2b2b set of diverse dance tunes. They're joined by Vancouver-based DJ and producer Sophie Sweetland, aka D. Tiffany (aka DJ Zozi, aka Xophie Xweetland). Sophie is an MPC-wielding architect of dreamy house with releases on 1080p, Pacific Rhythm, Coastal Haze and her own Planet Euphorique imprint. Her productions often evoke the sensation of a warm breeze, but don't be fooled: as a selector she runs the gamut from airy tropical jams to wall-rattling techno and drum 'n' bass. Also on deck for the evening is a special Australian guest. The Melbourne-based DJ and producer released her debut EP on Perth's Good Company Records last year, and she has since released music on Kalahari Oyster Cult, Voyage Recordings and Planet Europhique; contributed a track to Pelvis' DJ Tools Vol. 2; supplied mixes for Truants and Noise in My Head and performed live at Australia's Inner Varnika festival. She's touring Europe this summer, and stopping by our house to join Working Women and D. Tiffany for a night of night of first-class, far-flung dance music.

Nowadays is an indoor and outdoor gathering place on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. We've got a full bar, a kitchen, a nice sound system, a wood dance floor and lots of trees and house plants.
Most of the time, it's free to come to Nowadays, but we do have a cover for some of our nighttime events. If there's a cover but you're a little tight on dough, you can buy early bird tickets on RA, or RSVP for reduced entry on Fridays and Saturdays at http://nowadays.nyc/rsvp
We want Nowadays to be a comfortable space for everyone. Please treat everyone with respect when you're here. If someone says or does anything to make you feel uncomfortable, let us know. All of our bartenders, security, managers, sound staff and door staff can help you.
Also, for the sake of the vibe, please don't take pictures or use your phone on or around the dance floor.
Thanks! And we look forward to seeing you soon.
