English electronic composer, producer and remixer Jon Hopkins has released Singularity, his first album in 5 years after Mercury-nominated Immunity. The Royal College of Music trained pianist became fascinated with synths via Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys, and has opened for Coldplay, The xx, Royksopp, Four Tet since touring with Imogen Heap. Singularity is said to be a product of deep autogenic training and transcendental meditation, capping a period of seeking in his life.
He will be headlining the Fonda for two nights in September with special guest Daniel Avery. September 18th is sold out. Limited tickets for September 19th still available.
