Danny Daze (Omnidisc)
Mor Elian (Fever AM)
Danny from Miami was one of electronic music’s most misunderstood figures. Around seven years ago he released a record which found him shoot to stardom, swept up in a deep house craze that he didn’t identify with personally or fit in with musically. He was once asked to get off the decks by a promoter who was clearly surprised by the tougher nature of the music Danny plays. Since then peoples opinions of him have changed completely. His label 'Omnidisc' hosts releases from a mouthwatering array of talent including Anthony Rother, Drvg Cvltvre, David Vunk, Black Merlin, Shokh and DJ Tennis. Danny has also released on 'Omnidisc' along with some other recent material which came out on the institution that is 'Kompakt'.
Mor Elian grew up in Tel Aviv; where, like Glasgow it is almost impossible to avoid electronic music due to it’s embedment in the city's culture. After moving to Los Angeles in 2005, she began DJ-ing and became a regular in LA’s burgeoning techno scene and now books artists for the 'Into The Woods' parties. Mor has releases on labels like 'Hypercolour', 'Delft' and 'Radio Matrix' as well as starting her own label 'Fever AM' with Rhyw from Cassegrain. These days she splits her time between America’s west coast and Berlin and has become one of the rising starts of the moment, dishing out beats, breaks and bangers in a very thoughtful way that has given her a signature style that should kick the night off perfectly at La Cheetah.
Everyone welcome, mon doon!
