Time for another Casual chapter, this time we’re boarding for a trippy, otherworldly night out with Spacetravel at the helm.
Spacetravel stands out for his picturesque blend of esoterically crafted noises, all of which are arranged in complex, fast-paced compositions where vivid acoustic textures, human feel and risk merge harmonically. Based in Berlin, Luca Cara is an individual who has long harbored a deep fascination with all things futuristic. As likely to call on playful house textures as he is more electro-leaning sounds, his innovative and experimental way of working has led him to some of the contemporary scene's most innovative imprints. Since his debut release, the exceptional Galactic dropped via Binh's Time Passages, he has racked up credits for the likes of So Inagawa's Cabaret, Mellifow, Zip and Nikolai's Perlon as well as his own label, the burgeoning Traveling Without Moving.
A pivotal member of the Stockholm underground scene, we’ve met Johanna Schneider after her recent relocation to Copenhagen. With an unbridled passion for music equaled only by her energy and ambition, she currently runs Boss Musik, a label listing several acclaimed releases by names like Dorisburg or Adam Strömstedt. She works for the record company Goldenbest and she handles some of the bookings at Under Bron, one of Stockholm's prominent nightclubs. Johanna is also one of the founders of Esperanto Music, a Swedish artist booking agency. Her long years spent working with music granted her with a keen eye for quality and nurtured her eclectic spirit, qualities which can be observed whenever she's behind the deck.
Down in Red Box, Anders and Martin will complement our evening's trip with a special soulful, fuzzy, love-spreading house back to back.
