Dorisburg is a draw, but don't overlook Peach, a Torontonian who has been making waves in her current home of London.
We are so thrilled to be back for one last show for 2018!
There's a patient consistency at the heart of Alexander Berg's work as Dorisburg. The Swedish producer has made ten EPs and one album over the past six years, and put simply, each one is something to be proud of. Speaking with Resident Advisor, Berg explains he writes over 100 tracks a year, creating music impulsively then letting it ferment, often revisiting ideas months later to see if that initial spark still glows. His catalog, which encompasses both dreamy, melancholic melody and hypnotic drum tracks, maintains a quality and singularity of personality that’s immediately recognizable on record and in the live setting.
Alongside Dorisburg is London-based Torontonian Peach. She is one of the most exciting artists breaking through right now and her latest Boiler Room set explained just why she's on fire. The NTS resident’s dynamic mixing style and layered sets teem with energy and illustrate a meticulous prowess for selecting tracks that always seem to hit the spot. IDM, breakbeat, house, techno and more are her ingredients that takes you through atmospheric worlds. Her debut track “Silky”, with a dark and mysterious setting but softened with multiple layers, got released by Midland’s “Intergrated”. And with her latest Boiler Room set it’s obvious that Peach has skills and can’t stand still easily.
Rounding out our lineup is a good pal Ryan Pierre who recently moved back to Toronto. His versatility in his sets is what truly makes him a great fit here.
