Inga Mauer and Sybil are unafraid to take dance floors into heavy territory. Don't miss them at The White Hotel with DJ Soda Stream.
After a summer-long hiatus, Pagoda is returning in full force with our first party in Salford’s finest establishment, The White Hotel. We’re bringing along with us a stellar cast of DJs who we have been following intently for quite some time, and we can’t wait to see what they’re going to pack in their bags.
Inga Mauer is a DJ with a distinct style, yet is capable of covering a vast array of sounds from EBM, Industrial, Electro, New Wave and all things in-between. Her sounds have been honed by her love for travel, a regular show on Radio Cómeme and a res idency at the esteemed St Petersburg club Stacken. Her productions have been highly acclaimed, with releases on Schtum and HVNX being met with huge praise. The 6-tracker titled From Cologne to Clone was a real highlight of the label’s catalogue, featuring eerie, metalic industrial chug that pays beautiful homage to one of the many places she’s lived and the Amsterdam record store in which she has worked for.
Next up is Sybil, one of the founding members of the immensely important SIREN collective based in London. Be it blissed out ambient or pummeling techno and electro, Sybil can deliver with remarkable effect. Regularly helming the SIREN show on NTS alongside other members of the collective such as Jay, she has gained an uncompromising place for herself in the London underground. As a collective, SIREN strive to shed light on those underrepresented in the scene, throwing queer, safe space parties and running workshops for those held back by the patriarchy.
A close friend of Pagoda, DJ Soda-Stream always brings the heat when he plays. He has held a 2-year residency at Londons finest after-hours party Jaded, and has been running the Soft Drinks party series for even longer. Expect groovy, functional techno numbers laced with all sorts of other styles, mixed with flair and passion.
