Robag Wruhme is super real, yes, you could even refer to him as modern classic. The man hailing from Jena was already deeply involved with music during the times of the communist regime. Foremost with diverse developments of popular culture up until the very moment, right before the wall came down, when he met Sören Bodner aka Monkey Maffia. The two Thuringians became close friends and this friendship was the start of many things to come. They founded the DJ and production Duo Wighnomy Brothers and started releasing on their home imprint Freude Am Tanzen and its subsidiary division Musik Krause. Robag first started to appear as solo artist in 20004, when he released his first long player Wuzzelbud KK. This release convinced everyone form left to right, bottom to center with its bright, minimalistic and sometimes even poppy approach to house music. This milestone was succeeded by a vast range of achievements when it comes to his creative output, such as his mind blowing remix of Moderat’s Bad Kingdom that should instantly cause memories in all of our brains. Exactly 14 years later Wuzzelbud had a renaissance with the release of his very new album on Hart & Tief, a subsidiary label of Pampa, how home for the past years. The perfect addition to this night comes with our resident Sascha Sibler.

Robag Wruhme ist ein Original. Der aus Jena stammende Gabor Schabitzki hatte bereits zu DDR-Zeiten einen engen Draht zur Musik. Zunächst in Form verschiedener Ausrichtungen der Popkultur, bis er kurz vor dem Mauerfall die Bekanntschaft mit Sören Bodner aka Monkey Maffia machte. Aus der engen Freundschaft der beiden Thüringer resultierte 1997 das gemeinsame Projekt rund um die Wighnomy Borthers, mit dem sie fortan auf Freude am Tanzen und dessen Sublabel Musik Krause ihre Stücke zum Besten gaben und eine langjährige Residenz fanden. Als Solo-Künstler trat Robag Wurme erstmals 2004 in voller Länge in Erscheinung. Durch seinen Debüt-Longplayer Wuzzelbud ‚KK‘‘ überzeugte er seine Zuhörerschaft von Beginn an mit einer heiter-minimalen, einprägsamen und ebenso markanten Note in Sachen Housemusik. Nach einem für sich sprechenden Zeitraum anhaltender und erfolgreicher Kreativ-Aktivität - der ungeschlagene Remix von Moderat’s Bad Kingdom dürfte spätestens jetzt in all unseren Köpfen aufblitzen - kehrte Gabor Anfang September nach ziemlich genau vierzehn Jahren mit einem weiteren Wuzzelbud zurück, und das aus dem FF. Mit an Bord an diesem Abend ist unser Resident Sascha Sibler.
