Common Ground returns from hibernation with a string of special guests for our 'Summer Romance' series of dance floor orientated love affairs.
Who better to lead our dance than Miss Honey Dijon, the bosses boss, hailing from Chicago with house music in her heart. Those that come close to her are few; for one night only, a sea of lovers will engage with her intimate late-night impressions.
When Dijon last touched down in Australia she threw down "that set at Subsonic" and an unforgettable Boiler Room at Sugar Mountain 2018, now it's time to catch her in the intimacy of the club setting. Her presence behind the decks elicits contagious joy - she moves, you move; she dances, you dance; come be mesmerised with Honey's music love affair.
As far as locally sourced fire starters for the night, we are very happy to invite two acts new to the Common Ground family but oh so very familiar with the floor. Whiskey Houston first up - the head of heads, her taste only matched by her presence. A poetic, genre-bending, dance floor authority. Rounding out the bill are none other than the rising stars of Melbourne, Interstellar Fugitives. Pushing the envelope since their beginnings, this refreshing duo possess a musical knowledge so mature its almost suspicious, a name that will be carved into dance floors for years to come.
Each having their own unique take on this whole 'dance music' thing, these three acts make up the Bermuda triangle of body music.
Join Honey Dijon.
Common Ground would like to acknowledge that this event is being held on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
