papiripar is a quasi-palindromic propeller that diffuses the boundaries between image, sound and word. Boundaries become blurred and complex patterns evolve. The symmetry stumbles over its own mirror axis.
The festival is dedicated to conceptual and progressive approaches to pop music and its intersection with art, film and performance. Among disparate spheres, intersections will be exposed and interdisciplinary influences will be illuminated.
papiripar represents a game of formats. Modes of performance will be questioned, the long-serving form of the live concert will be extended experimentally. A specific focus placed on artistic self-empowerment, colour change, transformation, the acceleration of marginal centrifugal forces.
In other words: the rotation of energies. All gaps in meaning, resulting from the collision of diverse disciplines, terms and frequencies separated from each other require a bridging of thinking through new slogans and displacement activities. Let us fall into just this hiatus to discover what happens.
