Dear party rockers,
This Saturday, September 15, we celebrate Malaysia Day's eve with a special invite- @Indra7 of Jenja Jakarta . 21 years behind the decks, an impressive collection of great music and an energy to remember.
Since The Sweatbox is about community ,spreading and making good vibes together , we are reaching out to our fellow artists across the pond with a collaboration that has as a main purpose the exposure across the region for these talented souls.
Fellow residents Otherkind & Obadius will join Indra7 behind the decks and since Indra 7 is a staple artist in the Indonesian music industry and not only, we know it will be yet another Sweatbox to remember. There are no borders when it comes to talent and good music; See you on the dance floor! ♥
Indra7, a heavy metal enthusiast and one of the pioneers of techno scene movement in Jakarta, started his career back in 1997 when he formed the first electronic act in Indonesia called Agus Sasongko & FSOP, which later become Media Distorsi in 2002. Influenced by DJs & producers like Sasha, Digweed, Underworld, Max Cooper, and Carl Craig, with range of music starting from deep house, minimal, acid, progressive to techno, he explored a most extraordinary DJ-ing style at the time and was able to break boundaries of 'normal' and play whatever he wanted to.
He has shared decks and warmed up some of the big names in the industry like Richie Hawtin, Ewan Pearson, Joris Voorn, Technasia, Nic Fanciulli, Layo & Bushwacka, Danny Howells, Dave Seaman, Spirit Catcher, and Yousef to name a few and spun at numbers of rave party & underground clubs across South East Asia like God's Kitchen, Dance Republic, Jakarta Movement, Pontoon Pulse, Time, Jiro, etc.
His love for the music and the underground scene brought him to create a regular event called GLIMPSE in 2007, one of the finest underground techno serial event in Indonesia. Starting from 2017, he is now being one of Jenja Jakarta’s resident.
