A night of non-conformist techno and rave music on one of the city's best rigs.
Every Saturday, we fire up the strobe lights, turn the smoke machines to eleven and dance ’til dawn — and then some.
In addition to being a bang-up selector and producer, Physical Therapy (real name Daniel Fisher) helms the Allergy Season record label. He's also a Nowadays resident DJ who's brought some incredible artists to our decks and equally incredible folks to our dance floor. Joe Seaton, aka Call Super (aka Ondo Fudd, aka Elmo Crumb) is a Berlin-based musician and DJ whose genre-dodging releases on Houndstooth, Dekmantel and Hessle Audio have earned comparisons to the music of Brian Eno and Roland P. Young. His selections behind the decks are likewise unconstrained (as heard on his recent Essential Mix), making him a fantastic match for Daniel, whose agility behind the decks always keeps us guessing.

Nowadays is an indoor and outdoor gathering place on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. We've got a full bar, a kitchen, a nice sound system, a wood dance floor and lots of trees and house plants.
Most of the time, it's free to come to Nowadays, but we do have a cover for some of our nighttime events. If there's a cover but you're a little tight on dough, you can buy early bird tickets on RA, or RSVP for reduced entry on Fridays and Saturdays at http://nowadays.nyc/rsvp
We want Nowadays to be a comfortable space for everyone. Please treat everyone with respect when you're here. If someone says or does anything to make you feel uncomfortable, let us know. All of our bartenders, security, managers, sound staff and door staff can help you.
Also, for the sake of the vibe, please don't take pictures or use your phone on or around the dance floor.
Thanks! And we look forward to seeing you soon.
