Collin Strange has a long and storied history in the New York City underground music scene of the nineties. From owning a record shop in the East Village, to working at the largest Record distributors, Dj'ing anywhere from the dirtiest lower east side squats to the famed Limelight, from playing in hardcore punk and noise bands, to producing music alone, Strange was around at one of the most vibrant (and transitional) times in New York history. On the cusp of culture crackdown which choked the life out of the city, he was forced into exile. Currently located in Seattle, Strange has picked up right where he left off, plugging in the analog gear and churning out blistering acid cuts with a very D.I.Y. edge that brings to mind Drop Bass Network, Unit Moebius, or free party French acid of old. Coming full circle, his new tracks are completely at home on L.I.E.S. and his live performances will undoubtedly thrash any soundsystem in sight. – Resident Advisor
Via App is one of Brooklyn’s most prolific hardware-based experimental techno artists with releases on Bank Records, 1080p, Break World Records and more. Her raw, energetic hardware live sets are not to be missed.
L.Sangre, Lost Soul Enterprises resident and expert selector, is hot off her fire record release with Silent Servant on New York label Orden Extatica. Self-described ‘Head-Witch-In-Charge,’ always slays with driving, mutant acid techno industrial for the hot-blooded and cold hearted.
Davide Gualandi, another member of the Lost Soul family, has a storied history in the hardcore band scene in the 90s and wrote for some fairly respected music magazines in the 2000s. He likes noisy and psychedelic music and the weirdos who populate the NYC scene. Expect the best madness.
Heidi Sabertooth is fresh off her banging-acid vinyl EP release on the Lost Soul Enterprises label and promises to deliver her signature grity electro and techno cuts in the front room all night. She is joined by DJ Wawa, who just killed the court-side dance floor at Sustain-Release Festival as well as a recent mix for The Fader magazine. He will equally bring the heaters!
