Some critics wrote about Paul Kalkbrenner's last album - "Parts Of Life" - that he put himself on it. A nice compliment, especially when you know that Kalkbrenner had exactly that in mind with his eighth album. The 15, not chronologically ordered songs, which all consist only of the word "Part" and a chapter number, are just as multifaceted as one would imagine the life of an internationally successful artist. And they invite wild interpretations: What triggered the almost jazzy vibes that opened the album with "Part Eleven"? Are you in the middle of the dark basses of "Part Seven", which the wild times around the success with "Berlin Calling" might have started?
