Black Wave greets the start of the year with further explorations into the hypnotic techno and Refracted becomes the next guest in their sonic laboratory. He's the founder of Mind Express and one of the organizers of the "Parallel" festival. His sound could be described as a multi-layered-sonic-meditation, more of the experience than just music. Intense rhythms and slowly evolving audio landscapes transform dancefloor into the epicentre of a ritual, while the whole set becomes a soundtrack for the journey, the destination of which each dancer has to discover for himself. Refracted does a serious background check, before coming to play - the venue, the promoters, their last guests, his position in the lineup - and tailors his set based on the results. There's little probability you'll hear any famous bangers, but there's a high probability that you'll be one step closer to catharsis.
