Two key nodes of London's house music scene join forces for a one-off rave at FOLD.
FunkinEven B2B Secretsundaze
London has been blessed with a handful of new venues lately and wanting to keep things fresh, Secretsundaze & Apron have lined up a special one-off party at the killer space that is FOLD on Friday March 1st.
The club has caused quite a stir amongst DJs and dancers alike since it opened. With its no-nonsense approach to creating a safe place away from the intense pressures of London life, people can truly express themselves and let loose.
The link up between Secretsundaze and Apron seemed like a natural progression - with Funkineven’s sets at the party becoming firm favourites alongside Giles and James, and a realisation of how much overlap there was in each other’s record bags. A triple b2b between Secretsundaze, Funkineven and Marcellus Pittman last year at Oval space confirmed the synergy and so this time they are stepping up the ante for a full collaboration! Apron and Funkineven have continued to trail blaze with their unique, raw, yet classy sound: covering House and Techno, to Boogie and Funk across LPs like Ratgrave and Lust For Life. Of course we can’t forget Funkineven’s own output as Steven Julien called Bloodline. Secretsundaze have released on Mule Musiq and Phonica in the last 12 months, and are one of the UK’s best loved DJ duo’s, producers and of course party starters who, 17 years later, continue to do it in their own unique way.
Supporting on the Apron side will be Touching Bass and NTS affiliate Molinaro who last year released his first EP on the label, and Apron Records label manager and Cafe Au Lait resident Mr Redley. Secretsundaze invite their friend Eliphino to play for the first time - a great DJ and producer to boot who’s sound takes on garage, bassy house and techno and last but not least the mysterious DJBB will also represent! A new moniker for a familiar face!
FOLD is set to be lit for the Secretsundaze vs Apron party. Don’t miss!
