Three of the UK’s key advocates for bass-driven electronic music come together for a rave up of classic drum & bass and dubstep sounds at FABRICLIVE. In Room One, SW4 prepare for their annual summer festival. The Clapham Common party has been the capital’s de facto summer event for drum & bass and everything in between for the last 16 years, and their party with us will no doubt reflect their pole position within the scene today. Making a welcome return to EC1 with SW4 is the true Playa of drum & bass, DJ Hype. The Playaz boss’ history with us needs no mention, so we’re thrilled to have him back for what should be a full-on two-hour workout covering the genre’s full span. He’s joined by Problem Central, the D&B supergroup comprising Majistrate, Logan D, Eskman & Evil B. The four figureheads combine for a showcase of the best in driving, high-octane 170BPM energy. Basslayerz members Slipz, Blu Bomma and Spyda also join forces, while the Rough Tempo crew and SW4 resident Joe NBO round off the bill. Plus, IC3 steps in for hosting.
In Room Two, A.M.C is back for another of his Energy sessions. After causing havoc in Room Three towards the end of last summer, the Titan man returns for a three hour set alongside some of his key contemporaries. He’ll also be joined by a special guest for his final stretch – keep an eye out to find out who. FABRICLIVE mainstay Ed Rush shows us D&B’s tech-inclined side, while talents Upgrade and T>I both also go head-to-head. Finally rounding things off are DBR UK and S9. Hosting the night are a full cast of scene legends: Eksman, IC3, Phantom, 2Shy & Fokus.
One of London’s key radio outlets for the underground land in Room Three as Flex FM take over. For their first night with us, they invite the station’s core group of residents usually found repping on the airwaves, as DJ Kane, DJ Majestik, Pitch, DJ Twiz, Johnny B and Milky all drop by our most intimate dancing spot.
