Sprüdel September 7th 2019
Sprüdel is a Queer, Bi-Pan, Kinky, Techno Affair. The gathering for all the fun loving freaks, artists, dancers,
office workers with secret kinks and everyone in between that needs a fun night on the dance floor. Come play with us.
Due to the nature of this event: there are a few rules..
No touching unless you get verbal permission. Don't ask more than once. No is No. Only yes is Yes. There's no room for interpretation.
No "oogleing" If someone wants to walk away from you. You let them walk in peace.
Absolutely NO photos or videos at this event.
To ensure this, while allowing people to have their mobile devices on their person, we are implementing a phone camera coverage policy. This means that when you come to check in and get your wrist band, we will also be asking to see your mobile device so that we can place a small sticker over the camera/s. This sticker/s should remain on your mobile device until you leave the party.
If anyone is seen taking photos/videos in the event space, you will be promptly escorted out of the building and not allowed back in for the remainder of the event.
We also ask that you do not use your phones on the dance floor, particularly in front of the DJ booth. People are trying to dance, and not be blinded by your bright ass phone screen.
Lost Soul Enterprises/ Lobster Theremin
NYC-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer Heidi Sabertooth has a serious love for hardware. Grit-laced drum loops, vintage acid and a tide of unruly sound clatters forth from her studio. She's been creating her unique brand of avant electronics since 2012 and she shares it with the world as a resident artist of the Lost Soul Enterprises collective and record label, through her Deep Dive radio show and her Techno Support Group residency at Bossa Nova Civic Club. Her highly lauded live hardware performances and vinyl-heavy dj sets have cemented her own place among NYC’s techno community and beyond, sharing the stage with Broken English Club, Ellen Allien, Umwelt, Lucy, Drvg Cvltvre to name a few. She has releases on Lobster Theremin, Lost Soul Enterprises, Kraftjerkz, Serotonin, and Motor Records (Seattle), with forthcoming releases in 2019 on New York Haunted and Dusk & Haze. She also collaborates with NYC experimental folk duo Opal Onyx (Tin Angel Records).
SYNTHICIDE/ Bossa Nova Civic Club
Andi is a New York City-based DJ and producer. As the founder of the dark synth and industrial party, SYNTHICIDE, she now holds her fifth-year residency at Brooklyn’s notorious venue Bossa Nova Civic Club. It’s here where she has cultivated a space with the intention to host dark electronic artists who might not otherwise have a platform and as a place for misfits to dance without judgement. Her own aesthetic combines her devotion to underground 1980s industrial, EBM, and sleazy synth with dark techno and noise – creating an aggressive and dismal soundscape that is unarguably danceable. With her music she aims to challenge the expectations within the confines of this masculine genre, often focusing on the ideas of revenge and strength through a woman’s perspective.
Rush Plus/ E-Missions
Jackson Ryland has been a staple of the DMV scene for almost a decade as both a solo artist and as half of the duo Rush Plus along with his production partner Jus Nowhere. Jackson has performed at all the places to play in D.C. such as Flash, U St. Music Hall, and for Roam, Sequence, and for DMV Deep.
Rush Plus's music has been played by heavy hitters such as Ben Klock, Ellen Alien, Nina Kraviz and MANY more. We have a feeling that his music will continue to fill the bags and sticks of some of your favorite artists as Jackson has a forthcoming solo E.P. to be released on Ambivalent's Valence imprint.
