More about Closet Yi:
Closet Yi is blurring the boundaries of House and Techno in her music picturing the
un-experienced, and un-existing world inside her imagination. She pictured the vast ocean in her first documentary film sound design work ‘New Salt’ for Sailor/director Soomin Yim, and adventured the forest with her track ‘murumuru palm tree’ released last March in Honey Badger records’ 2nd Compilation album.
She’s also a full time dj constantly seeking for those special moments that connects the dj to the dancers. She has been in the scene since 2014 as a dj, track maker, graphic designer, and a promoter proving her love and passion toward the electronic music community.
She kept her busy steps ever since, and has been supporting the local scene spinning along with international artists such as Move D, Krystal Klear, Lipelis, and also running her own weekly radio show at Seoul Community Radio. Working as a resident dj at Hyundai Card Music Library for two years, she has also been featured in I:D Vice magazine as one of the female Korean musicians to focus on.
Closet is also the half of Dj duo C’est Qui who gain huge spotlight after their first debut on Boiler Room last year. The girls performed in many cities in Asia such as HongKong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Manila, and also have successfully finished their first Europe tour playing in Sisyphos Berlin, Village Underground Europe, and Ortigia Sound System Festival.
Ever since, Closet pushed her boundaries and toured solo gigs through Bangkok, Vietnam, Australia, and has been also featured on NTS radio show through rave wear brand The Internatiiional ‘s 2nd anniversary event that took place on July.
