For this Katalyst, we present to you a group of artists who are taking a sledgehammer to traditional boundaries between techno and trance. And this is true of both rooms, where we head in opposing musical directions.
Lund&Rønde is a part of the Copenhagen based dj crew called BunkerBauer and under the Copenhagen based management Fast Forward + running the danish label VALIS Records.
Brothers Lund&Rønde co-founded the BunkerBauer collective with DJ Ibon and Lasse Vind and the pair are also behind the danish hardtrance label V.A.L.I.S., which has been set up to release new hard trance, much of it made by the scene's best-known techno producers working under pseudonyms. The brothers have been DJ'ing together for over a decade now, and have honed their own signature sound which pivots on hard 90's techno, acid and trance and a multitude of offshoot styles.
Founder of SpaceTrax Berlin, Lover of Eye-Q Records, and classic-vinyl slinger Philipp Drube of the ISMUS Berlin collective has been shaking up the techno continnuum with a busy tour schedule and podcast releases. With his label, SpaceTrax, he promotes sounds from artists that straddle the fine line between fast techno and hardtrance. As a DJ, his sets take you on 30-year journey of techno and trance, seamlessly blending the two, and delivering a powerful punch every time.
