(?)Why does RA charge a booking fee?x
Our booking fee covers the costs of providing our ticketing service.
We incur charges every time we take a card payment. We have labour and office costs for our developers, who build and maintain RA's website and our event discovery App, the RA Guide. We provide round-the-clock customer and promoter support and infrastructure to ensure you can buy tickets securely and speedily in over 50 countries. We cover all of these costs with one small per-ticket fee.
It goes deeper than that, too. RA is an independent company dedicated to supporting the electronic music community. By buying your tickets through RA, you become a part of that mission.

The 8th annual Riverside Festival will take place in Glasgow in 2020. Scotland’s premier electronic music festival returns to the grounds of the Riverside Museum on the banks of the Clyde, bringing together a combination of some of the biggest and most cutting edge electronic artists and DJs to this unique and iconic location.
When 2020 started, who would have thought that everyone's lives would be turned upside down so dramatically, so quickly? This is a difficult time for us all as we experience isolation, apart from our friends and families.
Rest assured...this lockdown situation will come to an end. And when it does we will be providing an experience of togetherness that will make this year’s Riverside Festival the most important event we will ever have been involved in.
After a consultation period within the music industry and updated advice from the Scottish and UK Governments, we have rescheduled to the weekend of September 12/13. These dates are realistic in timescale for the lifting of the current restrictions and in the past few years they have seen good weather too! In any case, we will have larger areas of the festival undercover than previously, including one of the stages.
On the original weekend of May 23/24, we plan to bring the talent and vibes directly to your living room through a live streaming event featuring some of the RF20 artists and DJs, via our social channels. This will be free to watch and listen to, with an optional donation facility for those who can afford it, collecting much needed funds for NHS Scotland and the charity we support annually at the Riverside, Glasgow Children's Hospital (formerly Yorkhill Sick Kids).
We are very aware that now is an important time to remain connected to the worldwide Riverside Festival Family, and we will be releasing playlists, mixes from previous events, along with some other fun ways of passing the time in quarantine for our community.
Stay safe and well, look after each other and keep in touch more than ever before. Please follow health guidelines and let’s get through this as quickly as possible, while remaining in good spirits. Be strong. We shall be reunited.
(If you’ve already purchased a ticket, please check your email for important info. Your support is extremely important. Carrying forward your tickets to the rescheduled dates massively helps our ability to deliver a quality event on the other side of this pandemic, when it will be needed and enjoyed more than ever.)
