Ticket + booking fee /
(?)Why does RA charge a booking fee?x
Our booking fee covers the costs of providing our ticketing service.
We incur charges every time we take a card payment. We have labour and office costs for our developers, who build and maintain RA's website and our event discovery App, the RA Guide. We provide round-the-clock customer and promoter support and infrastructure to ensure you can buy tickets securely and speedily in over 50 countries. We cover all of these costs with one small per-ticket fee.
It goes deeper than that, too. RA is an independent company dedicated to supporting the electronic music community. By buying your tickets through RA, you become a part of that mission.
This gathering is held on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the territories of the Lkwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.
We are bringing the Sanctuary Sessions to Victoria! You are invited to join us in 2020 at Robazzo for a warm and intimate night of dance and community. 💙
This session will feature our most dynamic and exciting lineup yet. Spanning emotive and worldly beats to energetic bass-driven rhythms, we will be going on a journey through dubstep, halftime, bass music and DnB.
Mystic State [Artikal, The Chikara Project, Calgary]
Mystic State are a production duo from the South West of England, comprising of Will Marquiss and Mike Holliday. The pair have gained a loyal fanbase due to their experimental, versatile style and tight, intricate production, as well as their seamless and energetic DJ sets. They have built up a respectable discography and earned a good reputation across all corners of the underground music scene, releasing on labels such as Artikal Music UK, Flexout Audio, Demand Records, Dispatch Recordings, Deep Heads, and Addictive Behaviour. Over the past two years they have been building their self owned label The Chikara Project, an imprint which perfectly captures their unique output, with plans to release their debut solo album on the label in early 2020 and their second Artikal Music EP in February.
driftwood beats [Aufect, Victoria]
Vancouver based electronic music producer hailing from Vancouver Island and specializing in bass music spanning all tempo’s and vibes that are tailor made for the context of the sets he’s selected for. Formerly known as BMID, Bren Hall made a name for himself as a devoted and passionate dj/producer over the years of creating his reputation and following in Victoria, BC. The Driftwood project is the culmination of the experience and creativity honed over years performing as BMID, but without any creative constraints; simply an expression of musical passion meant to move dance floors and elevate people with forward-thinking bass music (specializing in drum & bass, dubstep, footwork and hip-hop.)
Method Sound [Sub Chakra, Calgary]
Method Sound is a sojourner of two cities, splitting his time between Calgary and Edmonton. Here, bass music culture thrives; welcoming his moody and patient productions that push dance floors and sink deep into the psyche. Influenced by the atmospheric dub sound of King Tubby and the sprawling environments created by Boards of Canada. His attention to sound design is evidence of these guides, creating scapes that capture spatial textures and auditory vistas.

Princess Granny & Yochu
Brie-Ana Laboucane (Princess Granny) studies Butoh in Canada, USA, and Japan, in establishments such as KW Studios, Kazuo Ohno Studio, and Keio University. She is the director of Yochu, performs at Bass Coast, and is the Performance Coordinator at The Amphitheatre at Shambhala. Brie describes her art as, "approaching Butoh with curiosity and sensitivity".
Each performance is inspired by the peculiar, the dark, and the sublime, regularly featuring life, death, and rebirth as motifs, in a variety of poetic interpretations.
HARM REDUCTION & CONSENT
There will be designated people offering harm reduction. They will be providing support to those who seek it. If you or someone you see is in distress, we encourage you to let one of the people in the 'harm reduction’ shirts know.
Sanctuary is committed to consent culture and we believe all attendees deserve to feel safe within our events. If you'd like to learn more about what consent looks like, we encourage you to explore some of the resources at the bottom of the description before arriving. ❤️
Individuals who are causing people to feel unsafe will be asked to leave.
