At the end of this Winter, the first instalment of Abstrasension this year will take place in Blank
Prominent representatives of the more atmospheric electronic music scene will play on two different dancefloors.
Headliners of the night will be British producers Phaeleh and Slugabed.
Phaeleh – Better known as Matthew Preston is a British based producer and DJ. The artist’s style was nurtured by an impressive vinyl collection and still is to this day. He’s inspired by the likes of Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Tool and Plaid. The cinematographic, atmospheric and melancholic nature of his compositions are tied to working with texture & space. They can be described as a mixture of garage, dubstep, ambient and soulful melodies.
Slugabed – Musician and beatmaker Gregory Feldwick from Brighton has been interested in making music since the age of 14. He has managed to become a resident of the iconic Ninja Tune and Planet Mu, while also launching the imprints Donky Pitch and Activia Benz. He repeatedly participated in Boiler room and has become known as a very inventive and trivial producer. A connoisseur of synthesizers and sound design. Gregory can be described as an artist who is at the junction of wonky, hip-hop, glitch, dubstep and future bass. The last time he performed in Russia was 8 years ago but this time he will come with a completely new program, which will include material from his fresh mini-album.
The festival will be hosted by Blank, located on the former Arsenal plant. The urban surroundings of the site will be complemented by visuals guided by our media artists.
