CAMP, the Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning is about to get drowned in strictly black-white tone and aesthetics of error messages. The Russian couple 404.zero will open this year´s Lunchmeat Festival with their audiovisual performance Black Sunday on September 28th. It is based on the minialbum of the same name, that they recorded in the legendary Reykjavík Greenhouse Studio. It is Iceland and its nature that inspired the dark ambient album and also its visual accompaniment, with which viewers immerse themselves in a dark microcosm full of abstract shapes. The EP was released on the famous Icelandic label Bedroom Community.
404.zero is an audiovisual performance project of Russian media artists Kristina Karpysheva and Alexander Letsius. They have become very present at the post-digital art scene in the recent years and had shows at such venues and festivals as Times Square, MUTEK Montreal, MUTEK Mexico, Japan Media Arts Festival, Genius Loci, Electric Castle, Weimar Festival and other international digital art festivals. "404.zero" stems from the well-known code for a computer system error when the requested resource cannot be found. This reflects in their aesthetic.
