(?)Why does RA charge a booking fee?x
Our booking fee covers the costs of providing our ticketing service.
We incur charges every time we take a card payment. We have labour and office costs for our developers, who build and maintain RA's website and our event discovery App, the RA Guide. We provide round-the-clock customer and promoter support and infrastructure to ensure you can buy tickets securely and speedily in over 50 countries. We cover all of these costs with one small per-ticket fee.
It goes deeper than that, too. RA is an independent company dedicated to supporting the electronic music community. By buying your tickets through RA, you become a part of that mission.

A bi-monthly all-vinyl adventure through vintage-audiophile sound hosted by London DJ-producer: Norm De Plume at East Sydney Community and Arts Centre. Inspired by the hifi listening bars and dance parties in London, New York & Tokyo. Deep & uplifting selections across jazz, funk, electronica, boogie, disco & house.
Peret is an award winning composer, sound designer and games developer, and a leader in the field of interactive audio. Peret’s artistic practise covers a diverse range of skills and media, including: traditional and electronic composition; creative producer; sound designer for games, film and television; mix & mastering engineer, live performer; and lecturer at the Australian Institute of Music....he's also a very fine DJ of 25 years of experience.
After starting out studying jazz with Saxophonist, David Brown, and formal study at the Australian National University’s Jazz campus at the Australian Institute of Music, Peret's sonic journey has been equally informed by his passion for music history, and an obsession with artistic and technical processes. The results of which have been countless hours spent sifting through LPs on dusty record store floors, late evenings amongst the blinking lights of music studios, setting up microphones in reverberant disused grain silos, and travelling to rural folk museums to record the clinks and clanks of early pioneering farming equipment.
Lured to Sydney by the techno scene in 1993, Peret immersed himself in all forms and genres of music. As a professional DJ focused on scratching, hip hop and labels like Mo-Wax and Clear, Peret played alongside local talents such as Simon Caldwell, Ken Cloud and was co-resident with the much missed Illpikle at the infamous Globe for over two years.
Peret has supported everyone from Optimo, Charles Webster, Theo Parrish, DJ Krush, Blackalicious, and Craze as well as playing saxophone for Jamie Lidell.
His production and mixing skills have seen him adding his touch to the music of Alphatown Collective, Nick Thayer, Bass Kleph, Swag, Prop, Deepchild, Kidzen, and Multiball – his remix for the latter being nominated for an Australian Dance Music Award.
Though a devoted hip-hop fan, Peret was never comfortable with the idea of sampling other musicians work, preferring a handmade approach. The techniques that evolved from these sonic meanderings form the basis of Peret’s sound. Fans of artists such as Matthew Herbert and Henrik Schwarz will appreciate the Mako sound. – The influences of hip hop, techno, jazz and deep house, amongst many others, are woven into a highly personalised style which can be heard on his album" "The Devil's In The Detail" he composed and produced for Future Classic in 2008.
