CLOCK OPERA Having dubbed their own sound as ‘Chop-Pop’, Clock Opera create delicate and imminently danceable, offbeat percussion, breathless vocals and have a flourish for a big fuzz-addled chorus which give this shimmering, synth-fuelled electronica act an innovative playful edge that's already seen remixes of, and tours with the likes of Yeasayer, HEALTH and Au Revoir Simone.
“..a melting pot of Bjork’s Vespertine music boxes, hazy vocals and the occasional tribal drum – this lot deal in melodrama of the best kind.” NME
CITADELS This striking art-pop 4 piece consists of Bramble, Jimmy Lazers, Ally, and Bear Wales who together work to create decadent and intriguing combinations such as cascading flutes, fuzzy guitars and boy/girl harmonies to form a unique sound that has been described as a ‘heaven bound dream laced excursion’ and drawn comparisons to the likes of Arcade Fire, The Flaming Lips, MGMT, and The Unicorns.
”Exquisite …Citadels are a band in the making – watch them rise.” The Fly
WAYLAYERS . In their early 20's, Harry, Jon, James, and Alan started playing live in 2010 and caught the attention of Steve Lamacq who featured the band on his 6 music show. Creating atmospheric pop musicby mixing elements of electronica, indie and rock, with striking melodies. Early demos found their way into producer Ewan Pearson (Delphic, Tracey Thorn, Lost Valentinos) who immediately recognised the bands potential, inviting them to record further tracks during the summer of 2010 and are now set to release their track ‘Fires’ in November on Kitsunés Tenth Masion compilation.
CITIZENS Over the last 12 months this London-based 4-piece have performed throughout London, drawing influence from musical greats such as Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, DFA 1979 and Interpol to produce a concoction of driven bass lines, insistent dance beats and glacial guitars which have seen them perform as support for the likes of The Boxer Rebellion, Blood Red Shoes, Dutch Uncles and Brooklyns White Rabbits.
FISH DONNT DANCE kick up a storm as usual in room two and for your delight and delectation bring you PUNX SOUNDCHECK who will be shaping the night with traversing disco and house, reggae and dubstep, electro and rave, all the while sounding effortlessly and elegantly modern.
