*** Chloe Fontaine ***
Chloé Fontaine - it could be fair to say "some search it out, whilst others grow up doing it...". Firstly starting on Westside radio station, co-hosting the successful Breakfast show. With her love of music driving her, it was from there that Chloe went to study at Point Blank and Sub Bass music schools.
This shining star was soon given the chance to host underground show's, on London’s favorite Pirate stations - Unknown-FM and Passion-FM, where she has built a strong following with her brilliant presenting skills and strong musical repertoire of house sounds, from Jacking, Tech, Minimal, Deep and Soulful grooves.
Chloe starts 2011 with two new London residencies plus the launch of new co-promotion Comburo, studio production sessions, weekly club bookings including international gigs to Dubai, Poland and France, things are looking pretty good.
*** Hemisphere DJs ***
These two guys need no introduction. We know them as Elliot Bolton and Stewart Cook and you know them as Hemisphere DJ's. Hemisphere DJ's is a collaboration of Elliott Bolton aka DJ Anthony Bolton from the UK and Stewart Cook aka Diputs from Australia. They met in June 2010 playing on the same night for Plastic Fondu at Ministry of Sound and became firm friends straight away.
In July 2010, Hemisphere DJs was born, bringing their Progressive, House and Trance to club nights around the UK playing at venues such as The Gallery at Ministry of Sound, The infamous Electronic Sessions Boat Party, Retox with Above & Beyond at the O2 Brixton Academy in London, Brixton Jamm, London, Frenchs, Eastbourne to name a few. 2010 was an amazing year for this duo after forming mid way through the year and it only got better seeing the year end out in style playing The Gallery Christmas Party at Ministry of Sound for Retox and the Electronic Sessions NYE Boat Party on the Thames with Jon O'Bir.
The start of 2011 Hemisphere have played warm up sets for Retox alongside Australia's #1 DJ tyDi and Ibizian House legend Pete Gooding for there residency Tempo Eterno. Hemisphere DJ's have stamped there mark in the UK dance music scene with force.
They are very organic in their approach when playing to the crowds, interacting constantly and deciding what tunes to play on the nights to suit the fans best.Their mixing style is unique when performing both adding their own elements into a single mix to create a seamless set filled with effects, drops, build ups and big bass lines. Energetic and hard hitting, these two are set for great things to come. In 2011 they are looking to release their first tracks so keep an eye out for that.
With Hemisphere there is no horizon!
*** Stu Cox ***
Someone once described Stu Cox's sub-centric aural produce as "some right weird but seriously cool shit", which we must admit we quite like. He has managed to steer away from the all-consuming minimal bug and just stick to chunky percussion-fed beats and rolling funked-up basslines... after all, how can it be dance music if it doesn't have a groove?
He has been influenced by so much music over the last two decades from house to breaks, techno to trance and hip hop to brit-pop it's hard to slap a genre label on it. But nowadays genres are meaningless anyway. Elements of all of it get thrown in using as much equipment as he can fit in the booth.
*** Samina ***
Samina got her first introduction to the club scene helping to promote nights at venues such as Pacha, Canvas and the Key. Inspired by the vibe and sound of London’s clubs, she became an avid discoverer of new music, especially house. DJing was the next logical step, and with a refreshingly diverse set of styles, Samina has since played at major venues including Ministry of Sound and last summer made her debut at Space, We Love Space. She regularly DJ's for successful promotions including Read the Crowd, House Rules and Sick Vibez.
