After the huge success of our first Birthday, which saw Miguel Campbell & Tale Of Us absolutely smash Stinkys Peephouse to pieces, we’re back.
This party is the first in a series of underground, intimate events which will take place in hidden locations around the city. Nest will become a real party on the move, hosting parties in some of most unique, intimate and distinctive spaces in Leeds. Infusing a refreshing twist to the clubbing scene, the upcoming parties will take place in unique venues, often which have never been used before. Keeping the parties exclusive, secret and most importantly exciting, we will only release the venue details a week before the event. We will still of course bring you the freshest underground talent from every corner of the globe, only this time in some of the most intimate and bizzare venues that you most likely will ever witness these DJ’s in. Staying true to Nest fashion this month we are flying in two artist’s who have never been in the city before. This month we are proud to have Tornado Wallace, and Miguel Puente smash up the Nest Decks.
Details of the Location will be revealed through mouth and online a few days before the event, so keep your eyes peeled.
Our first act Tornado Wallace flies over all the way from Australia and has yet to play this side of London. Tornado Wallace is the alter ego of Melbourne producer Lewie Day. Lewie has been writing and producing music for over nine years and has had releases with 8 Bit, Murmur and Dirt Crew amongst others. The elusive and enigmatic DJ/producer is discreetly taking on the world with his hybrid of House, Techno and deep groove. The slinky disco playa is responsible for three of the standout releases in 2010, all supported by contemporaries such as Jimpster, Mr Scruff, The Revenge, Horse Meat Disco, Greg Wilson, Matthew Dear, Mark E, and DJ T Tornado first made waves with his Never Dies EP on Sleazy Beats followed by the triumphant Paddlin' EP on Jimpster's Delusions Of Grandeur which topped Juno's charts for a number of consecutive weeks and was listed in their top 50 tracks for 2010. His love affair with Delusions of Grandeur continued with ‘Always Twirling’, which reached similar heights, resonating with music lovers from all corners of the globe. We can’t wait to have this enigmatic party animal with us behind the decks at the upcoming party.
Next up we have Hot Natured's new kid on the block; Miguel Puente. The young music prodigy will be instilling his Spanish flair for the first time in the country, as we are proud to offer up yet another U.k Debut. For those who have heard his Nest podcast Im sure you will agree he’s nothing short of a genius and whole heartedly agree with Jamie & Lee's decision, tipping him to be a major act for the future. For those who don’t know, Miguel Puente was born in Monterrey Mexico, and currently lives in Barcelona, Spain where he's consistently playing in the most important clubs with the hottest artists around. This young sought after Dj's productions are being played by DJ's like Lee Foss, Manik, Droog, Art Department, Soul Clap, Tanner Ross and many others. Miguel has been producing for labels like akbal music and digital delight, and is preparing for upcoming releases on Hot Creations and No.19 towards the end of the year. After absolutely smashing up the One Illusion party a the W Hotel in Barcelonar, it easy to why he is fastly becoming one of the most sought after underground DJ's around.
