Punks Jump Up
ESM - the launch party.
Burns brings together an international line-up for the launch of his new monthly Sunday event, ESM, at Shoreditch's Russian Bar.
The inaugural ESM bash on 25 September features Surkin (Marble), Arveene (Bang Gang) and Punks Jump Up (Kitsune) alongside the young Brit producer.
Like most things French, DJ/Producer Surkin is amazing. His in your face techie electro has proven a hit with many remixes over the past couple of years plus a few EPs which he gained attention from with his releases on the French Institubes music label as well as a remix for Teki Latex released on Virgin. In 2011 he launched the record label Marble along with Para One and Bobmo, channeling his deep passion for dance music, once inspired from listening to Cassius, Daft Punk and Todd Edwards - who he recently remixed.
Recently signed to Deconstruction, Burns quickly acquired notoriety via several releases on 2112, a collaboration with Fred Falke ('You Stopped Loving Me'), the compilation 'European Sex Music', remixes for Kasabian, Dizzee Rascal, Gossip, Missy Elliot, Hurts, White Lies and production credits on Kelis' Flesh Tone album as well as the upcoming Tinchy Stryder single. The NME, The Guardian, The Times, Mixmag, DJ mag, and many more have said very nice things about him.
'Iced Out' is Burns' follow up to his first Deconstruction release (Midknight/ Skeezer) and is released on Fly Eye on 26 September.
Arveene is Ireland's best DJ, bar none, has been making dancefloors shake all over the world for a few years now, and has played pretty much every decent club and festival there is to rapturous reception.
Finally expect for Kitsune duo Punks Jump Up to mix it up and gives us a lowdown on what's hot and not.
