Shoegazing muses, earth-shaking booties, stargazing musos, trans twisted beauties. It’s SOS.
SOS has been one of East London's bubbling club secrets with increasingly long queues around the block. The wild, underworld party captures the mood and fascination of early house music, voguing and all things acid that's currently permeating clubland. It was recently picked out by Time Out as being one of the few nights to catch that vibe in London.
Neville Watson has his unique brand of raw, deep and jacking house. He has released on numerous influential labels including Clone, Dissident and Mule. He also records under various pseudonyms, is one half of electronic boogie duo Midnight Steppers, and has a live project with Bulgarian housemeister KiNK. Neville has an extensive history playing in sweaty basements from London to Moscow, and main floors including Twilo, Berghain and Panorama Bar.
Andy Blake runs the mysterious World Unknown underground monthly party in Brixton, London, which is dedicated to the noble art of 'throbbing electronic music for dancing' and also has its own record label which releases modern incarnations of the music played at the club. He also releases his own pure analogue house and techno explorations on his Cave Paintings imprint. As well as this he DJs regularly as a guest at all kinds of places from hallowed halls of house and techno such as Fabric, Panorama Bar, The Robert Johnson and Glasgow's Sub Club to all manner of small, sweaty basements.
Jim Warboy was picked out by DJ Mag as ‘one of alternative clubland’s greatest forces who is constantly ahead of the curve’. He has been firmly established in London’s underground club scene having promoted some of the city’s most experimental nights over the past eight years including Caligula, All You Can Eat, and Kash Point. He currently promotes SOS, Heroes at Egg and The Future Now!
Warboy’s DJ sets are eclectic and draw on anything from acid, tech and tribal house. They have a strong percussive and vocal content sat on deep basslines. Divas to the dancefloor, per-leeeze.
