In just a few short months, System 909 will be two years old. It's hard to believe we are approaching this milestone already, but then i guess time flies when your having fun!
The idea was to bring a party to cardiff that was simply just that, a party. No dj's selling tickets for decent gig times, no ego's meaning the wrong type of music at the wrong time of the night, no pretentious people clogging up the dance floor with their Gucci handbags, or men with peacock hairstyles burning their hair spray laden manes on the lighting rig.
A real party, where the music is good, loud and makes your chest vibrate, where the people are friendly, smiley, and and at the end of the night sweaty!
Over the last two years we'd like to think we've some way to achieving what we set out to do, there have been some amazing parties, from the epic first birthday with SASHA CARASSI, to numerous amazing nights with some of the cream of the Welsh techno scene, it's been an amazing journey, one which we hope will carry on for many more.
We'd just lke to take this opportunity to thank every person who's been to one of the events, every dj who's played, and everyone who's helped out in any small way, we couldnt do this without you, you make SYSYTEM 909 what it is, ONE HELL OF A PARTY! thank you!
And so for part one of our 2ND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS (which continue on the 27th of July with Reset Robot) we bring you a dj we've been trying to get down to Cardiff for some time now.
