Robag Wruhme, Axel Boman, KeToLoCo DJs, Chris Stanford, J Nelson, Dave Harbour
Although the sun never really came, it will soon be gone altogether. To celebrate, Ketoloco are having a Summer Closing party on August 26th at their usual and excellent home, The Light Bar. Headlining will be ‘Loco favourite Robag Wruhme and Studio Barnhus prankster Axel Boman, with the usual residential back up from the fam’.
Anyone who came to see Robag with us last year, though, will attest that this party is likely to be as special: the Kompakt and Pampa producer makes not only an intriguing brand of organic house and found sound techno, but so too is he a dexterous DJ that weaves everything from hip hop to minimal to funk to deep house together into the sort of rare sets most travelling DJs couldn’t even dream of stitching together.
The second headliner is no slouch either. Sweden’s Axel Boman is part of a fun loving and impish crew (alongside previous guest Kornél Kovács and third member Petter Nordkvist) who has blazed to the top of the cool pile with releases on Koze’s Pampa, Glass Table, his own label and many more. His wholly non-linear productions are often delicate and woozy, heartfelt and charismatic like few others out there. Not afraid to make music from radioactivity, sample Mariah Carey or play Ten City next to Joy O, anything goes, but only if it sounds good. And it will.
On top of the music, the usual beefy Funktion One will be installed; there will be food outside on the sun terrace, an outdoor cocktail bar, an additional psychedelic light show inside and many more little treats. Every fucker says this about their party, but this one is more likely to sell out than an X-Factor winner come Christmas time.
