Morgan Geist, Lady Jane, Sixsixsixties
After a two month summer break, Holger is back on the floor with NYC-based producer Morgan Geist. Mr Geist, all-around house and disco good egg, is somewhat of a chameleon: the guy's earned his stripes as one half of Metro Area (with Darshan Jesrani) and as Environ Records' boss, he's made the nothing less than superb 2004 compilaten called Italo Collection Unclassics, a 2008 solo LP under his own name and of course he's the author and producer of the two biggest house tracks of the last two years ("Look Right Through" & "It Goes On") under his Storm Queen guise. For the newest Storm Queen's offering "Let's Make Mistakes" (out now!) Geist again teams up with vocalist Damon Scott, a NY busker he met on the subway. The result is a 117 BPM slow burner with - once more - a pop song nestled at the core. Sing-along house music for the shadowy security of the dancefloor!
To heat things up we've got Catclub head honcho Lady Jane. It's been ages we've heard her play outside the magnificent bubble that is Catclub, and we're pretty excited to see which of your buttons she's gonna push. And as always, Holger jackmaster Sixsixsixties will take on the last hour, conducting you towards the exit and the end of the night in ecstatic disarray. It goes on!
