October sees the return of Gibb St Warehouse, with a monster ensemble of artists lined up for the Autumn/Winter clubbing calendar and the opening weekend particularly strong. The Friday sees Arkitekt and Marco Carola kick off the Autumn schedule, the latter fresh off the back of a scintillating summer season in Ibiza helming Fridays at Amnesia with his new Music On night.
Also operating as a record label that is thoroughly reflective of the Neapolitan legend’s musical mandate, Music On has come to symbolise only the most powerful and persuasive forms of European house and techno, a philosophy that will be reflected when Marco playing a very special headline four hour set here at Gibb Street.
Invited to share the stage with him in Digbeth will be Spanish firebrand Damian Schwartz, the Net28 music platform founder who has rapidly become one of the stars of the European techno scene. Joining Carola and Schwartz is French Dj/Producer D’Julz. A firm DJ and fan favorite, D’Julz has ability to transcend genres and trends has seen him hold one of the most consistent levels of success of any modern day DJ/Produce.
If disco licked, bass driven house is your thing, then Room 2 is the place to be. Bristol based Waifs & Strays are a duo born out of diverse musical backgrounds but brought together by a love of house music, pure and simple. With tracks and remixes on the likes of Get Physical, Hot Creations, Leftroom and Futureboogie, this pair know what works.
Keep a eye peeled for a exclusive 500 capacity afterparty to follow the Gibb St histrionics.
