JONATHAN STORM - FUNK ME RECORDINGS U.K.
One of the most dynamic and versatile Electronic Dance Music DJs around Jonathan Storm's energy is not only felt in his music but also in his showmanship. He was first exposed to house music at the age of 12 by his older brother who at the time was a DJ himself. The sound of house immediately hypnotized him and thats was moment when he decided to follow his brother's foot steps. He started Djing at the age of 15 and got his first shot at the infamous Tunnel night club at the age of 21 in the late 90's where he was one of the residents playing along with Kris Spirit, Gonzo and Eddie Baez. His DJ sets have been praised for his excellent range, selection and technique. Whether its house, tech house, techno, drum & bass or anything in between, his passion is felt equally. His love for the music and it's culture is abundant and it will continue to grow. Jonathan Storm is poised to take his place among the elite DJs in the city and beyond.
GEORGE FAYA - VERBOTEN
A born and raised New Yorker, George Faya has been DJ'ing since 1992, longer than many "house" and "techno" fans have been alive...
Like many, Faya had been a devoted fan of seminal electronic acts like Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, then discovered classic deep house during its early heyday of the 1990's, while at the same time exploring industrial and EBM artists like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb. Meanwhile, Detroit techno had made it's way to NYC and offered yet another color in the palate, and with the additional influence of artists like Aphex Twin, Autechre and Funkstörung, it all clicked.
He was fortunate enough to have been able to enjoy NYC's nightlife before then-mayor Rudy Giuliani's crackdown changed everything. Limelight, The Tunnel, Vinyl, Twilo, Save the Robots, The Palladium – they all suffered the same fate, but not before they made their indelible mark on him.
Nowadays, Faya's range extends from downtempo/"nu disco" sounds to peak hour tech-house to hard-driving techno, but he considers his sweet spot to be a mix of pumping modern deep house and atmospheric edgy & dubby techno.
