Well, March saw us throw what was probably the most ridiculous party we've ever thrown... the music and atmosphere is always spot on in our yard, but this was on a whole new level! Unbelievable Jeff!
Thanks to everyone who played a part in making it a night to remember.
Anyhow - it's business time, again, so check out what we have in store for you this month.
April 26th, sees us return to our Friday night slot at The Garage in Leeds and this month bringing you yet more of the finest from the UK underground...
First up, we'd like to present to you, for his Leeds debut;
TIMMY P [Local Talk, Tomorrow is now, Kid!, Extended Play]
Tim has an obsession with house music. A manic fixation with drums, snares and grooves underline an expansive sound that spans a vast electronic spectrum.
This pathological devotion to electronica began in his formative years with an ear for drum and bass and electro but once he encountered house music there was no turning back. It wasn’t long before he was collecting vinyl and spinning records back in his home town of Oxford. and since then, aside from being added to the roster of Manchester-based "The Underground Agency", a residency at brand new London night ‘Flock Music’ alongside the likes of Ethyl and Jonny Cade has given him the platform to rock crowds down in the capital with his stratospheric house sound.
Timmy is an artist who harnesses astronomical talent paired with unrivalled passion for music but most impressively a sound that knows no bounds; a sound that is restless, constantly progressing and strives always to satisfy. A stellar succession of successful production releases from the infectious ‘Snare Blackout’ to the luscious deep house ‘Haze’ EP have caught the attention of big industry big hitters such as Steve Lawler, George Morel, Ejeca, Medlar & Detroit Swindle proving his indisputable reputation as one of the most exciting up and coming talents on the scene.
This man is guaranteed to rock the dance floor, his productions have been firm favourites of a few of our residents for a long time, so you're all no stranger to what heat this guy packs.
Secondly, Ladies and Gents, Sisters and Brothers, we bring to you the love child of a sausage and a bass bin somewhere in Frankfurt, the one and only;
ALCATRAZ HARRY [Love Not Money, Neim]
No stranger, he's joined us on the 1's and 2's on a few occasions here at BeatStreet and we're more than happy to welcome him back. Over the years, we've witnessed this guy play some of the best sets we've seen within our fair City. Recognised for his wealth of knowledge and experience as a DJ and producer expect to hear all manners of electronic music whilst this guy is behind the decks, from pitched-up disco to ball-banging techno, hell, this man brings the fucking party!
As a producer, he's released through several quality labels such as Leeds' Love Not Money and Mexico's Neim, especially recognised for his work with our good pal and fellow Leeds lad Ali Scott. We also released his awesome edit of Gnarls Barkleys' "Crazy" as a free download a while back as some of you may remember. His filter-riding, bass-pumping take on house and techno is known, respected and loved massively within our ranks.
Along with the above, we have all the usual suspects in tow, our infamous residents;
