The Release Sustain label Showcase.
In the few years of Release Sustain functioning as a record label, we've learned to be purveyors of good music. We've concentrated in discovering new sounds and artists, not to be attached to trends and be mind opened to our personal quest to find great audible elements, basically just to bring out great music.
However, we couldn't have made it until here if we haven't been watching and listening inspiring artists from around the world. Artists so great in their craft, that with their magical touch were capable of lifting us around in different rhythmical states at all times.
therefore the purpose of this series of showcases is to try recreate unique soundscapes and unique moments with music, we will be inviting artists we know they can make you feel special, in a sort of unique musical way.
Artist that not only create great music but also who have the sensitivity to captivate a public emotion with their sets .
On Sunday October 6th, we are launching the "Conclave" series for the first time, with two very special guests from Detroit and Berlin, treating you with their grooves.
The first event will be held at the established "The Nest" club, located in the heart of Dalston.
This Series will get together some of release sustain hot talents plus the ones we love to listen and play.
The first instalment will bring Detroit's own Patrice Scott alongside Alland Byallo and up and coming Release Sustain Artists!
Patrice Scott is one of Detroit's top producers of deep house and techno music. Substance, quality, and diversity are the driving forces behind this artist who has touched the world by storm in the early stages of his career. P. Scott has a fascination and desire to be anything but the norm. This fascination began in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 13 while attending a neighborhood party by a local Detroit group who went by the name Sharevari. It was at this time that P. Scott received his first lesson and exposure to what was then called progressive music.
From that point, more influence came from local area artists and disc jockeys such as Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and the Electrifying Mojo (Charles Johnson). Exposure to Chicago's WBMX and WGCI, which featured artists and disc jockeys such as Chip E, Farley Jackmaster Funk and Larry Heard, also played a factor in shaping P. Scott's musical direction.
Born in Los Angeles, Alland began his musical journey at a young age. Trying his hand at piano and trumpet as a young boy and influenced by the experimental electronic sounds of the early 90s, Alland grew captivated with the world of dance music, began experimenting with basic production and eventually bought his first pair of turntables. While working at WAX Records, LA’s now defunct authority on dance music, Alland’s tastes matured, and a move to San Francisco in 2003 saw Alland’s star rise quickly; while in SF, Alland honed his talents DJ-ing at respected venues stateside and overseas, started his own an underground dance music label named Nightlight Music and launched one of California’s most inspired techno-focused nightclub events, the monthly [KONTROL].
Gaining global attention producing gems for definitive record labels such asPoker Flat, Liebe*Detail, Real Tone, and Dirt Crew, by the time Alland garnered four stars from influential web-based dance music magazine Resident Advisor for his original full-length album release, Brick By Brick (2009), Alland’s devotion to the techno-house sound was plain to see and his fate as one of dance music’s major talents was reasonably sealed.
He was born in Portugal, in Lisbon. His passion for the electronic music began in 2002. His style differs. He likes not only dizzying rhythms but also hypnotic and melodies flights. Above all, his main aim is to see people smiling and dancing. The portuguese marketeer has achieved some importance n the world-mide electronic panorama. His musical works are played by famous people of the branch what makes him very happy.
With " The Himan Experience" released in 2009 by the swedish label Kant Recordings, Himan for the first time got the tops with the track " The Sky Above Me".
One of the highest points of his short career was signing for the Frankfurt label Connaisseur Recordings, where he had the pleasure of remixing a very interesting work of Mutant Clan (Timo Mass & Santos) and a Brendon Moeller track to. Himan will soon release some more work in the Frankfurt label.
In October 2010 he signed a track for the catalan label Galaktika Records, called "Inside You", which was included in a compilation to celebrate the five years of the label. This compilation included names such as Maetrik (Maceo Plex), Iron Curtis and Chopstick, among others, but it was Himan's track that called one's attention. Again he got the tops.
In 2012 he signed for two of the most known label´s in the world, Cocoon Recordings and Freerange Records. His track was picked for a compilation CD mixed by Joris Voorn in Sven Vath german imprint. He also have his name in a vinyl together with names such Milton Jackson and Jimpster with is beautiful track “Empty Pocket” that is being played by names like Âme or Ian Pooley (Innervision).
