With the music scene of Sydney making a drastic change this weekend, we’re looking for the best way to show our disapproval through the best way we know how.. putting on bigger events.
Bringing you another double international headline weekend with both acts pulling out all aces to contribute to. The duo of Fetsch and &ME come together under their ‘Terranova’ moniker playing alongside the German gentleman, Thomas Gandey who will playing a live set this Sunday – expect something special from this! Melbourne lady Danni B is in, fresh from supporting the likes of Mark Henning, NU and Luis Hill at Chi Wow Wah Festival last weekend, with lunch duties covered by Mo’funk, so be prepared for a healthy serving of funk, soul and light drizzle of hip hop to lift up your Sunday afternoon! Tomek has been enlisted to cover the low slung sounds of the supper set this week too, so be sure to dust off the cobwebs and bust out your boogie boots and show your disapproval for the changes in Sydney, by partying even harder !
This week, S*A*S*H plays host to:
A duo comprised of dj’s/producers Fetisch and &ME (founder of the formidable Keinemusik label), based between the two cities of Paris and Berlin, whose background is as vast and rich as the influence they have had on the scene. Signed to the legendary Kompakt and !K7 labels, their attitude speaks for itself: “We grew up and got our education in clubs and will produce and play music until we drop!”.
Not a man to be outdone, or every let anyone else down, Thomas Gandey is upping the ante from last visit at the Abercrombie, by putting together a live set! The enigmatic and passionate DJ, live artist, vocalist and producer, Thomas has gained somewhat of a cult status globally having released a plethora of club hits in his career with his inimitable and instantly recognizable deep tech house grooves which classily pop out the speakers with martinis in each hand.
Busting into Melbourne’s scene with class and style by starting the ‘Tickled Pink’ party series, shortly followed by a succession of booking with the infamous Rainbow Serpent Festival and most recently, Chi Wow Wah Town Festival in Melbourne this weekend supporting an A-list of internationals list. With influences ranging from the tech house sounds of Philip Bader and Inxec, the deep house grooves of Dyed Soundorom and electronica of Nicholas Jaar, she is a very versatile performer who always know how to blanket the crowd in just the right sound to take them somewhere special.
Now running from 9pm till 12am encompassing that slo-mo stripped back house amongst the smell of the chesterfield lounges.
Tomek is based in Newcastle (north of Sydney), but lately he's been making the trek down to Sydney to play at event's such as our humble Sunday event numerous times to much success. Tomek is a DJ, budding producer, and promoter, recently beginning a series of events, alongside legend, Phil Smart, with the sole purpose to push quality tunes.. legends !
Pull up a seat under the sprinklers and order yourself a $5 pizza while enjoying a $10 jug of beer or $15 jug of cider to one of Sydney’s standout acts from 12 till 4 in the afternoon
One of the few people lucky (and talented enough) to chase the endless summer between Australia and Ibiza with constant bookings across the biggest parties on the island under the largest party banners in the world. Drawing very heavily on funk, soul, hip hop with a slight drizzle of breaks as his background, he’ll be packing his boogie tunes before warming Flyover with some low slung and sleazy house tunes for the day.. delicious !
