Rupes (Make Me)
Peter Glasspool (Sonus Discis, Rouge Society)
Ewan Smith & Chris Graham (Untitled)
Fresh from our Easter Thursday event with Stephane Ghenacia, we return to the top floor of the Horse and Groom for the second instalment of our parties there. This time we’ve asked a couple of local lads down who know they’re music inside out and share our passion for music, vinyl and ethos for throwing good parties. Firstly we welcome Rupes who is co-founder and resident of the hugely successful night Make Me who over the years have played host to many of the best artists underground music has to offer. Previous guests include Steffi, Prosumer, Roman Flugel, Soundstream & Ryan Elliot to name a few. As well as Make Me Rupes can be found spinning records at many of London's underground hot spots including fabric and Dance Tunnel where he co-runs Darkroom who recently booked Mr Ties so expect some more exciting things from Rupes and Make Me this year.
Next up we welcome Peter Glasspool. Taking pride on building a record collection that is as diverse as it is abstract to say the least. Pete's influences range from a vast array of underground artists, spending many years listening to the likes of Craig Richards and Ricardo Villalobos in our beloved fabric. His ability to create an atmosphere whether it be early warm up duties or late night after-hours he has caught the eye of many. A regular at WetYourSelf at fabric and appearances at well respected London nights Toi Toi and Undersound certainly shows he has a great ear for music. Production wise expect deep filled low end driven groovy house and techno with plenty of funk, soul and swing, be sure to check this rising talent out he’s one to watch...
As always our ever consistent residents Ewan Smith & Chris Graham will be playing a wide spectrum of underground, contemporary house & techno, some old and some new.
Also on the night we have good friend, music head and awesome DJ, Suric on warm up duties. Having impressed us every time we see him with his record collection and mixing ability we thought it only right that we get him down to play for us. He’ll be warming things up so get down early to hear his blend of deep and groovy house vibes.
