We're chuffed to be welcoming Aurora Halal's notorious NYC party Mutual Dreaming to these shores for the first time, perfectly suited to the intimate basement of Plastic People.
Known for bringing the strongest artists of the American underground, the music of Halal herself is no exception – her debut EP on the Mutual Dreaming label is a shadowy transmission of headspinning plasmoid techno. She will be joined by NYC heavy hitter ITAL, fresh off a stellar string of EPs for Workshop, his Lovers Rock imprint, and collaborations with Hieroglyphic Being. His sound has been ever-evolving into unique forms of vertigo-inducing, dance floor precision.
Their collaborative EP “The Day After” as Ital & Halal takes the deliriously bent qualities of both artists' productions to new heights. Resident Advisor's 4/5 review calls it “rich, varied & intense... a luminescent wall of sound.”
Both perform extended solo live+DJ sets, and then join for a back to back DJ set.
Opening up is Jimmy Asquith of Lobster Theremin, sure to bring the heat..
