Plural “Shifting Forward” Record Release Party Set for the Next Body Language Event
Columbus based DJ and producer Plural celebrates release on Metroplex November 8th at Squared’s monthly event at Victory's Live
Squared, the Columbus based electronic music event production company founded by Scott Litch in 2002, announced details for the November installment of its monthly Body Language party at Victory’s Live today. A special record release party for Columbus’s own James Johnson, also known as Plural, whose new single “Shifting Forward” will be released on Metroplex this December, is slated for Saturday November 8th, 2014. Plural himself will be headlining with support from FBK and Lower Frequency.
A veteran DJ and producer hailing from Louisville, KY, Plural has been making a name for himself in Columbus since arriving on the scene. Starting in 1995, he has built a reputation around his DJ skills and production savvy, both of which will be on highlight at the next Body Language. “I consider it an honor to have my latest record released on the label of one of the original Belleville Three. Hopefully it brings some deserved attention to Columbus too. There is good techno happening here and I encourage people to come out to Body Language to see for themselves,” said Plural. Plural’s “Shifting Forward” will be released on Metroplex, the record label of legendary techno pioneer Juan Atkins of Model 500 and Infiniti fame.
Kevin M. Kennedy, otherwise known as FBK, will bring his funkinfused minimal techno that has been published on labels such as Frictional and Xplor to the mix and Squared’s own Lower Frequency will get things started with the dubby minimal musings we’ve come to expect from the Columbus transplant.
Squared invites you along as it continues to deliver the highest quality electronic music found in Columbus.
