Nostalgia 77 (live)
Bursting onto the scene with his new funk based sound in 2002. Nostalgia 77 has been quietly making fantastic music ever since. His hard work and prolific creation process has led to the release of many outstandingly high quality albums.
Aiming for an edgy sound whilst continuing to search for a more personal expression, Nostalgia 77’s influences include free and spiritual jazz plus ‘60s funk, soul and Afro sounds.
A serial-project starter and collaborator, he’s worked with acts such as: Alice Russell, Bonobo, Keith and Julie Tippett, Lizzy Parks, Prince Fatty. And, with a Gilles Peterson BBC Worldwide Album of the Year Award under his belt, this eclectic producer finds gold with any genre he touches. To top this all off Lamdin found the time to lend his talents to producing Jamie Cullum’s worldwide hit LP Interlude. Did we mention he has his own label Impossible Ark too?
Don’t miss the opportunity to catch this Tru Thoughts stalwart alongside his full live band, in an intimate live space. Fri 18th September at Rich Mix.
